چکیده
The proposed work describes a highly parallel architecture for high performance optical flow computation. This system implements the efficient Lucas and Kanade algorithm with multi-scale extension for the computation of large motion estimations. This work deals with the architecture, evaluation of the accuracy and system performance. It also has extension to the original L&K algorithm. So the capable of working is larger than the standard mono scale approaches. In this proposed system, Matlab and Modelsim simulation are selected for local optical flow algorithms due to their potential for a high-performance massive parallelization. The results are obtained with a throughput of one pixel per clock cycle along the whole processing scheme by using the finepipeline based architecture.

Computation Optical Flow Using Pipeline Architecture
Accurate estimation of motion from time-varying imagery has been a popular problem in vision studies, This information can be used in segmentation, 3D motion and shape recovery, target tracking, and other problems in scene analysis and interpretation. We have presented a dynamic image model for estimating image motion from image sequences, and have shown how the solution can be obtained from a ...
متن کاملEfficient implementation of low time complexity and pipelined bit-parallel polynomial basis multiplier over binary finite fields
This paper presents two efficient implementations of fast and pipelined bit-parallel polynomial basis multipliers over GF (2m) by irreducible pentanomials and trinomials. The architecture of the first multiplier is based on a parallel and independent computation of powers of the polynomial variable. In the second structure only even powers of the polynomial variable are used. The par...

Optical-flow computation is a well-known technique and there are important fields in which the application of this visual modality commands high interest. Nevertheless, most real-world applications require real-time processing, an issue which has only recently been addressed. Most real-time systems described to date use basic models which limit their applicability to generic tasks, especially w...
متن کاملAn FPGA-Based Parallel Accelerator for Matrix Multiplications in the Newton-Raphson Method
Power flow analysis plays an important role in power grid configurations, operating management and contingency analysis. The Newton-Raphson (NR) iterative method is often enlisted for solving power flow analysis problems. However, it involves computation-expensive matrix multiplications (MMs). In this paper we propose an FPGA-based Hierarchical-SIMD (H-SIMD) machine with its codesign of the Hie...
متن کاملAn Optical Data -Flow Computer
For many applications, such as signal and image processing, computer vision, and artificial intelligence, the current achievable performance is much lower than that needed. Von Neumann models cannot achieve computational rates equivalent to billions of operations per second that will be required for these applications. Therefore, parallel models of computation must be used. One attractive conce...
